7/14/12 Barn at Gibbet Hill Wedding

Last Saturday night we were back at the Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton, MA for the new Mr. and Mrs. Dolan’s wedding celebration.  Liz and Brian did their ceremony out on the lawn with Randy doing their ceremony music. We made special arrangements for a portable PA rental so that the officiant and the people doing speeches could be heard.  Once the ceremony was complete everyone moved to the deck for cocktail hour where Randy and Kyle performed a duo for the hour. After that everyone was ushered inside the barn for the dinner reception.  Liz and Brian wanted to get to the party part of the evening as soon as possible.  One of the things they chose to do to make that happen was just having themselves introduced rather than the whole wedding party. After their formal introduction they went right into their first dance “You Send Me” by Sam Cook.  Their dance was amazing!  I knew it was going to be great because they had taken a number of dance lessons From Michele Cloutier from Dance in Boston.  We have had a number of clients work with Michele.  Whether it’s to get over the jitters or to work out an amazing routine like she helped Liz and Brian with everyone talks about how much they love working with Michele and how at ease she makes them feel. Right after the bride and groom’s first dance everyone was invited to join them on the dance floor for a fifteen minute dance set.  This really got everyone in celebration mood!  We started with some Michael Jackson, went into LaBamba and ended the short set with “Broken Hearted” by Karmin.  Right after the cake cutting the bride and groom gave short speeches thanking everyone for being a part of their special day.  At one point Liz referred to the day as being perfect.  From what I saw I would have to agree.  A perfect day for a perfect couple.
